NFL Star, Justin Jefferson

NFL Star, Justin Jefferson

Justin Jefferson just might be the best offensive weapon in the entire NFL. The Wide Receiver is underrated, possibly because he does not have a superstar Quarterback throwing to him. Learn more about Jefferson below.

The Start

Justin Jefferson was born on June 16, 1999. Jefferson comes from a family of athletes. His athleticism was on full display in his childhood. Growing up in Louisiana, he excelled in not just football but also track and field.

LSU

He would play college football for the LSU Tigers. His career was incredibly accomplished and filled with record breaking achievements. He was a true playmaker for the school. Explosive with the ball in his hands, and a receiver who rarely dropped passes. He had all the tools needed to be an elite offensive weapon.

In three years with LSU, he put up record breaking numbers. What made his numbers even more impressive was that Jefferson did not catch a single pass as a freshman. It was clear that Justin Jefferson was ready for the next level after his Junior season

Viking

The Minnesota Vikings selected Jefferson with the 22nd pick in the first round of the 2020 draft. The Wide Receiver has been a force for Minnesota. As a rookie he broke many rookie receiving records for the franchise, records that were held by the great, Randy Moss. Many other records were also broken and are now held by the Viking wide receiver. You can make a strong case that Jefferson is the best WR in the game today.

Legacy

For many fans of Justin Jefferson, the biggest question is what could he do with a great quarterback throwing to him? Jefferson has not had a true superstar as his passer, he also has not had the benefit of a consistent starting QB to build chemistry with. If Jefferson can get the help of a great quarterback, he might reach the level of an all-time great playmaker.
