Crocs and Sustainability

Community

Crocs is focused on the future with its “Step Up to Greatness” program. This community impact program was announced last year.

This program helps young people in society. It aims to assist over three million individuals. The goal is to help young adults access new opportunities and resources. These will help them gain the skills they need to build successful futures.

Earlier this month, Crocs Inc. talked about its partnership with UNICEF’s Upshift accelerator. This program helps young people gain skills. These skills can improve their communities and their own lives. Over the course of the last ten years, the program has helped over five million people graduate across fifty-six countries.

Making a worldwide impact. Crocs has teamed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters and other nonprofits. They aim to raise money and awareness.

Materials

Crocs is on a mission to improve the future in more ways than one. The company aims to cut its carbon footprint by fifty percent by 2030. They want to reach zero emissions by 2040. This goal will be reached by using new raw materials and their own material called Croslite.

This material is neither plastic nor rubber, but instead a closed-cell resin. Croslite helps lower the company’s carbon footprint.

This is because the materials come from repurposed bio-waste. This reduces the need for fossil fuels. The company has decided to care about the future. They are using sustainable practices in how they operate and create products.
